Walter Vargas is an Electrical Engineer with extensive experience in the electrical industry. He possesses skills in planning, operation, reliability, and stability studies of power systems, as well as in studies and validation tests of power plant models, tuning of power system stabilizers, Smart Grids, RAS, and WAMPACs. He obtained his Master's degree in Power Systems Engineering from the University of Seville.

Currently, he works as a Power Systems Engineering Specialist at CELEC EP, CCS Business Unit in Ecuador since October 2017. In this role, he is dedicated to research and development of applications for the operation, security, and vulnerability of power systems, as well as the validation of power plant models and tuning of power system stabilizers. His experience and expertise have made him a highly skilled and valued professional in his field.

Dra. JACKELINE ABAD.

Jackeline Abad received the B.S. degree in Engineering from the National Polytechnic School, Quito, Ecuador, and the M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Electrical Engineering from Washington State University, Pullman. She was awarded a Fulbright scholarship in 2010. Currently, she is an Associate Professor in the Department of Automation and Industrial Control, Faculty of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, National Polytechnic School, Quito.

Her current research interests include structural analysis and controller design for dynamic networks with applications in sensor/robot networks, epidemic control, and control of electrical systems networks.

Dr. CHRISTIAN TIPANTUÑA.

Christian Tipantuña was born in Quito, Ecuador, in 1986, in the volcanic highlands at 2800 meters above sea level. His research activity focuses on resource management in wireless and wired networks, as well as on the simulation and implementation of communication system prototypes, primarily using open-source hardware and software platforms.

He obtained his Technical Industrial Bachelor's degree in Electronics from the "Central Técnico" Higher Technological Institute, and completed his higher education studies at the National Polytechnic School in 2011, obtaining a degree in Electronics and Telecommunications Engineering. Later, he pursued further academic training at the Polytechnic University of Turin, where he earned his Master's degree in Wireless Communications and Related Technologies in September 2013.
